OUR APPROACHES

Person Centred Approaches

The use of assistive technology non-restrictive practice person-centred caring staff. Bespoke environment, self-advocacy and inclusion in support planning individualised support plan and narratives.

Our aim is to help individuals to live in their homes within their communities. Biggs Healthcare provides reassurance, care and support to service users and their families regardless of colour, ethnicity, national origin, language, race, religion, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation and socio-economic background. We offer a culturally competent service and provide support for a diverse community.

Our staff enable service users to have choice of continuing to live at home with dignity. Our team deliver services to include Pop In Calls, Live In Care, 24 Hour Care, Night Care, Sit-in and Companionship services.

Safe Service

We understand how important safety and security is to our service user and we offer extra reassurance to make life stress-free. Our service is safe because we employ robust processes to ensure that everyone we employ are fully vetted, and cleared prior to taking employment, and that the recruitment compliance is maintained throughout the working time with us. We employ a fully qualified registered manager and skilled care staff. Our Staff attend specialist trainings such as McGowan training to be able to provide speacialist care to the service users that have need. We are CQC Registered.

Holistic Care

Our approach is holistic, yet systematic for each individual who comes to live with us. Our staff are trained to support in ways which include addressing relational, spiritual, emotional, body image and health issues. The right environment coupled with the right care and the right stimulation can transform people’s lives, helping them to feel happier and more fulfilled.

People who are placed in our service can receive individualised Person Centered Support. Some people often feel misunderstood by family and friends, isolated, afraid, hopeless, angry, abandoned, or unhappy and we aim for our service user to have a sense of belonging, happiness, relief from anxiety and have a great sense of hope.

Admission and Referral

Placements with our service are commissioned by Clinical Commissioning Groups (ICB), Local Authorities and Private Clients.

We accept referrals from ICB's, Borough Council, private clients aswell as other statutory and voluntary organisations. All care and support needs will be assessed before an application is accepted. Applicants must be aged 18 and above and have a diagnosed mental health, autism and learning disability.
